bride-to-be indeed

My sister and Mom threw the greatest bridal shower on Wednesday! It was a kitchen shower... and of course the invitations were stinkin' cute. Soooo many people came, I was so happy to see everyone, it was a wonderful time. We ate yummy dinner... summer salads, croissants, strawberry lemonade, and fresh fruit. And the delicious dessert, chocolate dipped strawberries and chocolate whip pie (which my mom admitted was a $5 Wal-Mart pie after the numerous raves over it)! It was PERFECT weather and a great evening to be spent in the backyard.
The games were great. My mom and sister came up with a fun play on The Newlywed Game and filmed Steen beforehand. I was a little dissapointed that I didn't know all the answers... the questions were pretty tough! But I learned a lot about Steen that I won't forget now! Anj won the M&M count, and MaryLane beat out the competition with an armfull of bracelets. :)
Everyone was incredibly generous and Steen and I got away with some wonderful gifts. I am so excited to be a wife and use my very own Crock-Pot, waffle maker, pots, pans, etc. Steen got an Optimus Prime placemat... Chantelle said it's so that he remembers where he is supposed to sit.
I am so grateful to everyone who made it, it was a wonderful night. I am incredibly appreciative of all the support that Steen and I have received as we plan for our big day and life ahead! Thanks again to Kaytlyn and Mom, they have been working so hard, they were so stressed about the shower, but it was PERFECT.

P.S. Yes... I will have a party for everyone to come and visit Steen and I, and I will whip up something good to eat with all my gifts. :)
