The past few weeks we've been very busy with wedding planning and it has occupied everyone's minds. To add to the hectic schedule, Steen and I just started fall semester at Salt Lake Community College as full-time students while still maintaining our part-time jobs. We were really excited to take an evening off to attend our first Institute class of the semester. Our weekly class is Eternal Marriage, taught by none other than my previous Stake President, Brother Becerra. He is awesome, and we are excited to learn from him as we start our eternal family! We decided to go to the forum that was after our class which the Institute holds every Wednesday night. They have some great speakers set up for the semester, we can't wait! Next week is John H. Groberg (Quorum of the Seventy, The Other Side of Heaven) and the following week is Thurl Bailey (Former NBA player, Jazz & Timberwolves)... we'll miss both due to wedding plans, BUT just a taste of what will come throughout the semester. :)
Brother Anderson spoke at the forum last night about finding joy throughout our lives. It was such a great night. The spirit was so strong and we learned so much! This is one of the clips that Brother Anderson shared.
Joseph B. Wirthlin passed away December 2008. He attended October General Conference and left us this amazing inspirational message. I heard it last night for the first time since conference and feel like I could listen to it over and over again!
We want to say a special thanks to Brother Osborne and Brother Anderson who had breakfast and morning scripture study with us, helped us understand Christ's love for us, and has made us feel welcome at Institute.
