SUPERbowl

My family always has a huge superbowl party like most of you. Except ours is bigger. I'm not sure where or why this happening came about but since I can remember we've had the tradition of having a ridiculously gluttonous superbowl party with my family, courtesy of J.
As most of you know, my family are New Orleans natives. This made for an interesting football season as the Saints decided to step out of the dark and kick some major trash. Every Sunday was a nail-biter and yes, my grandma cried when they won the NFC Championship. J said that if the Saints went to the superbowl, she would throw the biggest bowl party ever. She scoured for vacation homes, private restaurant rooms, rental halls, even reception centers for a suitable place. We finally convinced her to do it at home... though we pulled out all the stops.
4 televisions, 8 couches, 1 recliner, 4 chairs, 1 all-you-can-eat buffet (Jambalaya, red beans & rice, hot wings, cheeseball, six different dips with chips, salmon, turkey wraps, meatballs, little sausages, veggies, fruit, shrimp, ribs, cake, cookies, bread pudding, and an island full of drinks), decorations, beads, prizes, music, face-painting, 40 party-goers, and an AWESOME game by our Saints.
All-in-all, I think it was a success.
