date night

this weekend the husbands and wives are splitting up. boys, playing games. girls, slumber party.
so we had our date night on thursday.
we went to the city and council building downtown for a secret insider tour (gracias to zions, again). we made the  fourteen story climb to the top of the clock tower and then scaled a risky ladder to reach the very top where we stood right below the statue columbia. it was equal parts awesomesauce and scary.
after our tour, we ate dinner at a thai restaurant downtown called thai lotus. fresh pineapple and mango juice, crispy coconut shrimp, gaeng garee, pad thai, and mango sticky rice = pure deliciousness.
both activities i would suggest to anyone who lives in the salt lake valley. because we had a lot of fun.
