Update

Well it's been a long time since I have updated. I've had a lot of family members, from out of state, ask how things are going so here is the rundown:

Marlena
I am currently student teaching in a 2nd grade class in West Jordan, Utah. I am at a fantastic school and I have had a fabulous time learning from all those who I work with. The 25 second graders I get to work with every day make everything I do totally worth it. It has been a long and exhausting journey but I am almost finished! My last day of ST is November 20th and my last semester of college ends on December 12th. I couldn't be more excited.
My goal is to find a job for one of the districts in the Salt Lake valley and put this degree to good use. I have a few interviews coming up so cross your fingers and say a prayer for me. Hopefully there will be much more to come on that.
I recently threw a baby shower for my friend, Chantelle. I had so much fun doing it and I thought it turned out great. It made me think for a minute about party planning (which I have thought of about a hundred times before) so maybe I'll take that a little more seriously in the future.

Steen
He was fortunate enough to get a new job that he loves and will not stop talking about. He works with one of his best friends and has found great success. He has two more semesters before graduating with his BS Degree. After graduation, he is thinking about taking a short break before diving into grad school but it is still up in the air.  In the meantime, he is being a lazy student but doing enough to get B's. He went hunting with his dad a couple of weekends ago and had a great time. He likes to play video games (big surprise) and watch the BBC show Sherlock.

We had a very busy summer. We both worked and worked and WORKED to prepare for my four months of student teaching (without a paycheck). In August we bought a new fancy car to replace the irreplaceable blue truck. At the end of the summer, we moved out of our apartment and back into my parents home for a short time. We are hoping to move into my grandma's basement in the next couple of weeks. We are so grateful to my parents for letting us bum off them for a little while. Cleo loves being here and having two sister friends to hang out with all day. I love eating all the delicious food my mom knows how to cook and having someone to watch Parenthood with. Steen and I still love taking Sunday drives and eating Cafe Rio whenever possible. We are currently addicted to Modern Family and cuddling with Cleo on our bed (I can see this being a serious mistake). 

I'm sorry I've been a slacker. With things being as crazy as they are, it's almost all I can do to get in bed before midnight. I will try much harder to keep things up to date.
