I'm a college grad you guys! Technically I was a college grad in December last year but the big wearagoofyoutfitandwalkinfrontofabillionpeople finally came at the end of April. Everyone keeps asking me how it feels (was graduating supposed to make me feel different?) and the boring truth is that I feel the exact same. I'm going to guess that when August rolls around and I am freaking out about my new "getting ready for school" routine I might feel a new type of anxiety I've never felt (oh gosh the pounding heart is coming on already)...
Graduation day was basically what I expected it to be. I was at least glad to have found my group of familiar faces in the sea of strangers. We all sat together and teased our professors just like we did for two years (one of the best parts of my college education was spending my entire bachelors studies with the same people in the same building - we had so much fun together). My surprise was when Dr. Waite said my name right as I walked across the stage. Must have been the countless times he read my name in the constant e-mails I sent him about my grades...
The best part of graduation was the celebratory party and meal that night thrown by my (as always) fantastic mom. I felt loved by everyone that came and it was the perfect way to spend time with all the people who have supported me throughout my schooling. As nervous as I may be, I am excited to move forward and have new adventures in my own classroom!
