july fourth

My family has great fourth of July traditions and it was really fun to share them with our friends this year. :) Steen and I woke up EARLY and went to the Butler 17th Ward breakfast (my old ward). It was fun to see everyone that I grew up with and see the faces of old friends when we told them we're getting married. It was great, Steen's only beef was that there was no bacon... better than paying $5 for Granite breakfast though!!
We watched the Granite parade which was fun as usual. All of our friends helped out at the carnival, it was a lot of fun to play with a bunch of kiddos. It was realllllly hot, and I got sunburned, but it was fun. Shhhrent and I did the Balloon Darts game and Steen helped Stephen with Plinko!
After the carnival, we went to Steen's and took a much needed nap (probably the best part of the day... Lol jk).
We went to Murray Park for fireworks, which is my family's I-Day tradition. We always sit dead center on the big hill, order KFC, play frisbee, wear glow necklaces, and eat tons of yummy snacks. All our friends came this year which made for double the fun! We played this really fun game called Ninja, and that was an absolute blast. Stephen was really annoying during the fireworks... he was the only person on the entire hill that was talking loudly about nothing. We still love him though. :) Anyway, it was a great day. I hope it is a tradition that we can share with our friends and family for many years.

I get very into Ninja...
I WON! And even better, I beat Steen! The Justin vs. Steen duel. Steen won. Too bad I'm blinking!
