twenty-two

Today I am twenty-two years old. It feels the same as twenty-one.
I planned on being an adult today; wake up, get ready, go to school, fulfill my duties. Then, Husband called in sick to work and I decided to abandon my adulthood for the morning and sleep in. When I woke up, {at 10:15} I decided to make a tasty breakfast... German pancakes with syrup, bananas, and powdered sugar.

H took me to get a pedicure. She got a french pedicure and said that it made her feel like a grown up.
I got hot pink.

Lots of people wished me hpybdy on Facebook. Most of them I haven't seen or talked to in over four years. The rest are people I often see or talk to and had already texted/called earlier that day. Ah, thanks Facebook, for reminding those who hardly know me that it's my day. Haha.

Mr. and I hung out at H+J's house and he made me taquitos for lunch.

J and Kedge called me from Juno, Alaska and told me that they saw wild Orcas outside their cabin window earlier this morning. I was jealous. Kedge asked me what I wanted and I told her anything but a tourist-y Alaska tee shirt.

Then I went to work. One person knew it was my birthday, which reminded me that I am in fact an adult. I guess maybe I was expecting a balloon bouquet or a chorus of "Happy Birthday". But that's okay because my family remembered.

Mr. H was planning on going to dinner with H+J.
He texted me asking if I was going to eat dinner.
I told him no, I was full of taquitos.
I asked him where he went to dinner.
He told me Costco.
I turned around and he was there.
He walked me to the Food Court {classy}, and my family was there equipped with homemade chicken fettucini alfredo and cupcakes. It was an awesome birthday dinner.

Big finish with D2 of:

Good day... hooray for twenty-two!
