I didn't really see myself becoming a huge fan of any tv show after 24. I just don't have a ton of time to watch tv anyway, and there was nothing that I felt merited the few minutes I did have.
About a year and a half ago, I was bored and decided to watch Glee instead of do something useful like clean the bathroom. It had been on for a little while, but had not reached it's high status of popularity. I watched what I could from crappy video sites and hulu.com, and I loved it. I continued watching weekly on hulu.com for the entire season.
During it's summer break, I re-watched the entire season with my sister in hopes of hooking someone who I could then share Glee conversations with. She loved it. When the new season began this fall, I claimed that I was dedicating my Tuesdays after work to one hour of tv. Husband began to watch with me. He loved it. The next week, he invited Trent to watch with us. He loved it, too.
So I guess you could say that I started a band of Gleeks right here in Sandy. And now every Tuesday night I have a band of people to watch with (we call it Trent Tuesday).
Honestly, I've been slightly disappointed with this season. I feel like I'm being gagged by some of the themes the producer/director is forcing down my throat, Rocky Horror was ridiculous, and some songs are just not good.
This week was by far my favorite episode of the season (aside from maybe the very first one). Gwyneth Paltrow was a guest and she was surprisingly fantastic. She covered Cee Lo's "Forget You" which is a fun song to dance to, and "Singin in the Rain/Umbrella" which was awesome.
I hope there is a Gleek out there who can relate to this post and I am not just raving here to no one. :)
Anyway, watch this:
