For our Friday night date, husband and I when to the Utah Symphony. Talk about amazing. Amazing that A) We got tickets courtesy of one of husband's co-workers. B) I got him to come with me. C) We witnessed pure talent that oozed from the performers. And D) We became Utah Symphony VIPs, thanks to some very awesome people.
We had so much fun at the symphony. At intermission, we got a phone call inviting us upstairs to the VIP room. Husband was so giddy, it was hilarious. As we entered the room we found many familiar faces... important faces. We were introduced to the President of the symphony and many major contributors. As we were sitting there eating fancy cookies and cake, Henry B. Eyring walked in. Talk about speechless. Unfortunately we didn't get to chat with him, because the show started back up about minutes after he came in. But we cheers'ed to the symphony with a Sprite. He is so cute.
We were able to go to the musicians lounge after the concert and meet members of the symphony, the conductor, the symphony's CEO, and more. We were both seriously star-struck.
Afterward we held hands while taking a nice drive through avenues and admired the beautiful Capitol Building.
funnnnnnnnnn! miss you m to the ar.
