shake vs. shake

Doing homework. Again. Or should I say always?

I decided to take a quick break because I was getting a headache. That meant one of two things:
1. I needed ice cream.
2. I needed soda pop.
Both of these substances contain healing powers, I tell you.

I decided on the ice cream. Because of one of two reasons:
1. Husband and I are still on the no-soda kick.
2. Ice cream is better.
Okay, so I picked ice cream for both reasons.

My brain kicked it into high gear at that point and I was thinking malts, banana splits, shakes, triple stacked cones, YUM.

I decided on a shake. Because of one of two reasons:
1. Hundred times better than Leatherby's almond ice cream.
2. Only concoction that we had all the ingredients for.
It was the second reason- duh.
(ps.Yes, I know Leatherby's is ghetto. But they have the best almond ice cream of all time.)

I started making my shake. Then I started feeling bad because I probably should have just eaten an apple. Then I decided adding peanut butter would make my shake healthy. Then I decided it probably didn't really help at all. Then I decided a banana would surely make it healthy.

Thus, I enjoyed a quite delicious vanilla bean peanut butter and banana shake. With whipped cream.

my mom would tell me i'm going to get smoker lines sucking on a straw like that.

Then I started thinking about how my shake tasted like those protein shakes I used to make after work-outs (you know, pre-marriage?). And I missed them. And I missed working out. And I missed my skinny waistband.
So I think I might jump back on the protein peanut butter and banana shake plus working out bandwagon. I'll just close my eyes and pretend the shakes are one in the same.
