When I wrote this as a goal I was thinking about really going blonde again (like 14-year-old blonde). I was surprised to learn upon sharing my plan to color my hair that family and friends think brunette is a more suitable color for me. I still wanted to go blonde but decided that a less bold move would be to get a melt and darken the roots but bleach the length of my hair. I had a melt last year but it was very light and I ended up coloring over it; this time I asked for a more intense dramatic color. It ended up looking exactly as I wanted! Here's the picture I took to send to my mom and friends... yes, I pride myself on taking exceptional "selfies".
