update

Figured it was time for an update. Because you haven't heard from us in months, and in case you don't hear from us for the next three months, here's why:

1. We are quite the dedicated (or overloaded) full-time students.

2. We are also quite the dedicated (or overworked) employees.

3. P&P Wedding.
Our friends Chase and Chantelle got married on July 29th. We were so excited to be a small part of their special day. Although quite hot, the day was nice and we are really happy for them. Congrats Pott'ahs! (Brit accent, of course.)

4. Camping & fishing trip.
The week before school started, we went on a camping trip with my family. So. Fun. The drive was crazy long because the lake was pretty far, but the campsite was lovely. It was nice to go far far away and have absolutely nothing to answer to. Of course there was no cell or internet service, no grocery stores for at least 40 miles out, and most importantly no plan. We roasted marshmallows when we wanted to, we fished when we wanted to, we ate gourmet camp food and went to sleep when we wanted to. It was great. The fishing was spectacular, altogether we caught at least fifty fish. There was a mishap with the trailer tire, and it did rain downpour on us, but we hunkered down and made the best of it, and it was worth it. Thanks fam for the awesome trip.

my first fish ever!

5. Bear Lake SUMMER!
We went on our annual BL trip with his family during Labor Day weekend. It was a whole mess of fun. Saturday we spent the entire day at the lake. The water was cold, but the day was good and we had a fun time on the boat and playing with our cutest nephew in the sand. Unfortunately, I got totally burned (the girls spent more time on the boat = girls got fried). The rest of the weekend was great though. Bear Lake fast & test meeting, Mr. and I did some homework, hike to Bloomington glacier lake, and then movie and game night on Sunday... and eating the turtle cheesecake I made. Then riding ATV's Monday. It was a really fun trip, can't wait to go to Bear Lake again... maybe we'll get a bedroom next time...
bloomington lake, so gorgeous.

6. Sick. Sick. And more SICK.
After we got back from Bear Lake, I was pretty out of it. On Tuesday I left work early because I had almost passed out twice, had a fever, chills, nausea, etc. I called a nurse and she informed me I had sun poisoning. Great. Never heard of that... well, just stick it out. So I decided to stick it out, and went to work on Wednesday. I started feeling sick a few hours after eating dinner, and my illness only got worse throughout the night and all day Thursday. I went to the Instacare on Friday and found out I had bad food poisoning, later identified as salmonella. Ugh. I'm finally over most of my symptoms, with the exception of some mild vertigo. But the illness successfully dashed our anniversary weekend (more on that later).
