can & will: day 1

My mom, sister, husband, and I are starting a lifestyle change today. We are kicking off with Jorge Cruise's Belly Fat Cure FAST TRACK. I want to track my progress and journal about the things that are working for me. This is not only for those who may be interested in the program, but as a motivation for myself. If I have to answer to someone/something, staying on track will be a lot easier.
Last night was somewhat stressful as we began preparation. My mom and I shopped for most of the food. (tip: If you ever decide to follow this plan, shop for the food a week at a time, so that veggies are fresh.) I was worried that cooking might be too expensive or too difficult (and I still am a little), but I am trying to have a better outlook.
This morning I was excited to get started... so excited, in fact, that I woke up 40 minutes early (that's 5am, mind you). I weighed myself for the last time until this two week fiasco concludes. Breakfast was 2 eggs w/ cheese and 2 slices of bacon. It was soo tasty! I was happy I was able to have something delicious (I can't stand protein shakes and egg white concoctions). My snack was 1/4 cup of Pistachios. Lunch was good but something that takes a good deal of adaptability. Spinach salad with Chicken Breast and Bell Peppers, with a dressing of three parts EVOO/one part red wine vinegar (tip: add a little salt and pepper too). The dressing is where I said HUH? That sounds so gross. It wasn't. It was delish as well (after some getting used to). The olive oil can be a bit overwhelming for the first few bites but it is easy to get used to. (tip: Make sure you mix mix MIX this before pouring it on your salad and pour immediately, oil and vinegar separates fast.) My motivation for today is a video I actually saw a few weeks ago. It's a perfect presentation of the age-old question, "how bad do you want it?"

Kids, I want it bad. I'll be back every day to tell you about how things are working out for me. For anyone else who wants to lose weight but feels like they can't do it, believe me, if I can do this YOU CAN TOO. We can help each other a long the way. :) Have a fabulous day, I will too, because we deserve it!
