Last night was not as easy as the day. I ate some deli meat as my last snack and then dinner was salmon and asparagus. I was getting really hungry right before dinner and therefore, a bit queasy. I ate my dinner but really had to work to finish my food. I felt myself getting more and more nauseous. I talked to my mom about it later in the evening and she told me that it was just my body recovering from a sugar/carb addiction. CRAZY! Who knew a body could literally feel sick without those carbs. I feel like I will want grains and starches back after my 14 days, but now I know to be careful so that my body doesn't become addicted again (careful meaning: not eating carbs for every single meal and snack). When I got home, my mom suggested a bit of chocolate. I know you are saying "CHOCOLATE?! On a DIET?" No, no, my friends, you must understand... this is 85% cacao dark chocolate. Ever tasted it? Take a tip from me and DON'T. EVER. It is awful. So needless to say, hubs and I took a shot of low-sugar whipped cream. Phew. Good dessert in comparison. :)
My headache and nausea wore off over night but I still found myself waking up at 4am. Ugh. Hope that wears off soon. My day has been good so far, I haven't as many grumblings in my tummy. Eggs w/ mushrooms and avocado for breakfast, string cheese for snack, hamburger wrapped in lettuce (YUM) for lunch. I am about to have my second snack... a hard boiled egg. Please bless I can get that down... haha. I hate boiled eggs. But dinner tonight will be good! Sauteed pork chops with mushrooms and broccoli.
My inspiration today... a collage found on Pinterest:
UPDATE: The egg went down... with more than enough salt. ;)
